Teaching Tip
Keep a large book of art on the coffee table. Don't mention it and the kids will naturally flip through it and learn something.
Pick something colorful or unusual. Some of our most looked-at library books feature Renaissance artists and modern architecture.
Change the book every week or two to keep it fresh.
I choose adult books because they have more pictures, but do go through each to make sure the works included are appropriate for your family.
