Teaching Tip
I try to use all the resources I can find about the artist or the culture.
I read stories, show slides, use DVDs and web sites.
I find affordable art prints. Calendars work very well for this.
Then I have may students do a hands-on project in the style of the artist or culture that I am teaching.
Students love to hear the stories behind the art.
