Teaching Tip

Make the history of art come alive by introducing the artist by dressing as if you are the artist or an artist from that period in time.

Have the students become your apprentices and study under you using the style of the artist or the art period.

Discuss how the artists selected their subjects and how they chose the elements and principles of art to create their art.
