Teaching Tip

Each day for ten minutes before art class begins we view a work by an artist and discuss it. Then the students reflect in their art journal.

Our district is emphasizing writing so this is a great way to integrate art and writing.

We use the 6 traits of writing in our district so the students are encouraged to use good word choices.
