It is back to school @ my No. CA. coastal pre-school.......I was not about to do the "apple" thing again! So, realizing that it is big time blackberry season around here, I cut out different shades of purple paper berries, cut out each child's photo, and glued their photo on a berry. The background is med. blue paper, the vines are made from brown colored yarn. There are dark green berry leaves up the vines, that I cut w/ pinking shears. There is a large "berry" at the top of the board that I printed out: IT IS SO BERRY NICE TO HAVE YOU HERE! [The children love it and show their friends each other's photos.....I love it because it is different from the apple tree idea, and it relates to our berry filled time of year!]
