SHADING

Objectives:

Students will learn the techniques of shading.

What You Need:

  • 6b pencil
  • good quality paper

What You Do:

  1. Hold pencil in the grip of your palm in a horizontal position with index finger above the tip of pencil point.

  2. Now move your pencil from left to right using your index finger to gradually press the pencil down to increase the shade.

  3. Continue this technique on practice sheets and then you will be ready to shade on your drawings.
