HOMEMADE SILLY GOO RECIPES
Submitted by: Joy Carraway, Emily and O. Wright

Recipe Summary:

These recipe makes a material which is a lot like Silly Putty.

Recipe 1

What You Need

  • 2 Cups Elmers ® School Glue
  • 1 Cup Liquid Laundry Starch
  • Food Coloring (optional)

What You Do

Add starch gradually to glue, mixing with hands.

Recipe 2

Mix equal portions of Elmers ® glue and liquid starch. The mixture will look a little stringy at first and you may have to knead it with your hands for it to gel properly. If you want colored Silly Goo, add the food coloring at the beginning. If the mixture seems off, try adding more starch (that's what is usually needed if you start with equal amounts). It may take a few tries to perfect it, but once you do, it lasts for weeks in a covered container! Good luck!

Recipe 3

What You Need

  • 2 TBS of white glue (Elmers®)
  • 2 TBS of water
  • food coloring
  • 2 Tsp. Borax

What You Do

Mix white glue, water and food coloring and stir. Add borax and knead thorougly approx. 5 min. (Wear rubber gloves unless you want your hands stained.)
