What You Need:
Large piece of brown construction paper
Black crayons
Scissors
What You Do:
Measure 3" from each end of construction paper, draw a straight line from top to bottom.
Using scissors, cut in from the end of the paper to the black line several times (giving the look of fringe for the ends of the blanket).
Using Native American Drawings (tee-pee, horse, boy, girl, sun, moon, village) found in many children's stories of Native American origin, children create their own story.
For example: A drawing of a girl, a sun, a village, and a boy by a tee-pee may be interpreted as: "A young girl traveled for one day until she found a village. There she met a young boy who helped her build a tee-pee." and so on...
