What You Need:
•Humpty Dumpty visual poem
•Chart paper
•Markers
•Egg (hard boiled)
•Mustard and/or mayonnaise.
What You Do:
- Recite poem.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again

- Inquire: What did Humpty Dumpty do wrong? What should he have done?

From there you form classroom rules for safety.

Last, inquire - if he was a food what would he be? Why? Egg salad?
- Make egg salad with hard boiled egg and mustard and/or mayonnaise.
