FOAM LETTERS

Submitted by: Jennifer Hynes, a teacher at Cullen Preschool in Madison WI.

Objectives:

Teaching children about letters in a fun and interesting way.

What You Need:

  • Baking pan
  • Shaving cream (white foam)

What You Do:

  1. Fill pan with shaving cream

  2. Give the children a copy of the shape, either you write it on a piece of paper or take it from a puzzle.

  3. Let them practice tracing it in the shaving cream with their pointer finger.

*This can also be done at home in the bath using foam soap, they can trace the letter on the wall. And it washes of with just a splash of water!
