SHAPE-A-BUNNY
Just in time for easter ...
This activity is wonderful for introducing children to shape and form. Its a wonderful exercise because rather than handing out ready-made cut-outs, your kinderartists will be creating from scratch.
Basically what you need is some construction paper, scissors and magic markers.
Show your kinderartists how to make ovals. The simplest way is of course to take a rectangular piece of paper and round the edges. Voila. By taking two medium sized ovals and one larger oval, you and your kinderartists can make a bunny like the one shown here. If you want, you can make a circle (take a square sheet of paper and round the edges) and make it into a bunny tail.
Finish off the bunny by adding magic marker eyes, nose and whiskers. You could even glue the bunny on a grassy construction paper background.
