Skills/Objective:

What You Need:

• pattern blocks
• white paper
• construction paper
• crayons
• pencil

What You Do:

1. Have children create something with the pattern blocks such as a butterfly, bat, boat, boy, etc. They get surprisingly creative on their own.
2. Let children color it or add eyes, teeth, etc to picture so you can tell what it is.
3. Once they have created an object, help them trace it onto white construction paper.
4. Cut picture out and paste onto construction paper.
5. Let children dictate a story to you about the drawing.
