FEATHER'S DAY
Grade: 4-6
Age: 7-10
Submitted by Nancy, an elementary school teacher from Miami Florida.
What You Need:
- rock
- white glue
- feathers
- construction paper for beak
- marker for eyes
What You Do:
- Go for a walk and find some rocks. (Teacher may have to collect rocks ahead of time).
- Back in the classroom, provide many materials for children to select from.
- Encourage the children to create birds using rocks, paper, feathers and magic markers.
- Bird rocks can be given to father's with a card that says, "Happy Feathers Day!"
