Grade: K-2
Age: 4-6
Submitted by: Teri, a teacher at SHPC Sunday School in Birmingham Alabama.
What You Need:
- about 2 yards of masculine fabric
- a roll of Heat-N-Bond
- iron
- fabric markers (permanent)
- scissors
What You Do:
- Draw or trace already-tied necktie shapes onto fabric and pre-bond it with the iron and Heat-N-Bond.
- Have various other fabric shapes or Bible verses already bonded to the Heat-N-Bond for the children to cut out.
- Have the children cut out the ties and write Happy Fathers Day or a bible verse or whatever they feel about their dads or are able to write on the ties.
- Bond the shapes or verses they choose onto their ties.
- Have the children write their names on the back of the ties (on the paper part), and also write the instructions for bonding the tie to a t-shirt.
