YANKEE DOODLE DANDY HATS

Grade K-6
Age: 4-10

A great idea from Amy Schamburek of 20ish Parents

What You Need:

  • construction paper
  • uncooked macaroni
  • feathers
  • glue
  • non-toxic felt-tip pen

What You Do:

  1. Use a felt-tip pen to draw a hat shape on a sheet of construction paper. The hat can be just a rectangle with a line under it for the brim.

  2. Glue macaroni all over your hat drawing.

  3. When the glue is dry, glue a feather or two to the brim of the hat.

  4. Hold up the hat and call it macaroni
