SPOOKY WORDS

Subject: Seasonal Crafts
Grade: K-2
Age: 4-8

What You Need:

  • thin coffee straws
  • large piece of white construction paper
  • black paint
  • orange paint
  • eyedropper or spoon

What You Do:

  1. In a paper bowl, mix black paint with water until it is thin, but not to thin.
  2. With a spoon or eyedropper, drip about 7 drops of the black paint on the bottom of the white construction paper, but leave an inch of space from the very edge of the bottom of the paper.
  3. With the straw, blow the paint towards the top of the paper in different directions.
  4. It will make a spooky looking tree.
  5. You can make more trees on the paper to make spooky woods.
  6. With the orange paint, not diluted, paint circular shapes (pumpkins) in the branches of the trees.
  7. You can add faces to them with a marker after they are dry.
  8. Let it dry and put it in the window for everyone to see!
