I give my students a stocking pattern to use with the option of using it or not.
Students will trace around pattern or draw their own stocking.
Next, they will cut it out.
Then they can decorate their stocking.
I like to use the patchwork effect by coloring squares of color and connecting them with little black "stiches" using the crayon.
Be sure students leave the top of the stocking white.
Then I go around and write their names on the top of their stockings with glue in cursive and cover it with glitter.
My children absolutely love this!!! I am the BEST art teacher because I can write their names in glue! This just fascinates them! From K - 5th grade! They love the outcome and they do turn out very pretty. I hope you try this neat idea.
